Veer is a rising sophomore at Penn looking to study Math and Computer Science. In the Cheng lab, he adapts ML pipelines that design compact gene panels from single-cell RNA-seq and evaluates them on spatial transcriptomics (Xenium), including cervical and RGC projects with DART/X-SPEAR. He runs method comparisons on HPC, helps harden reproducible workflows, and explores ways to make panels more robust across modalities. Outside the lab, he enjoys watching television and college and pro football, and playing tennis and pickleball.
