Rushil is a rising junior studying Computer Science, with an accelerated master’s in Data Science. His work in the lab is analytical: he designs compact gene panels that carry cell type information from single-cell RNA sequencing onto spatial transcriptomics platforms. He is the author of ortho-DART, an interpretable panel selection method, and worked with Bryant on X-SPEAR, the Python package built around it. Originally from India, he moved to Wilmington, Delaware in August 2021. He enjoys watching football (Go Birds!) and hiking. He is Vice President of the Engineering Student Activities Council, plays ultimate frisbee, and is a teaching assistant for CIS 1210.
