Robert is an undergraduate student studying Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at ETH Zurich and is currently an exchange student at Penn. He grew up in Berlin and moved to Zurich for his studies. In the lab, he is developing a machine learning model that combines single-cell gene expression data with spatial transcriptomics to study frontotemporal dementia. His work explores whether integrating gene expression with the spatial organization of cells in the retina can improve disease prediction.
