Dev received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and M.S. in Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego. He then went on to work as an Associate Computational Biologist in the Cancer Data Science group at the Broad Institute, where he worked on the multi-omics team contributing to a pilot release of long-read sequencing data and various multi-omics data generation efforts for cancer cell line models. Now at Penn as a pre-health post-baccalaureate student and researcher, Dev is applying his background in multi-omics to investigate the cellular and molecular changes in retinal disorders using single-cell RNA-sequencing. Outside of research, Dev enjoys playing tennis, going for runs, and exploring the city.
