Annie is a rising junior at Penn studying Mathematics. In the lab, she works on power analysis for single-cell RNA sequencing data, using pilot data to help assess whether experiments are sufficiently designed to detect meaningful differences in gene expression. She is especially interested in how statistics and computational methods can be used to better understand biology. In her free time, she enjoys running, trying new restaurants, and participating in Penn’s Chinese lion dance team.
